In addition, carrier personnel shall be properly trained with respect to proper care of the client's consignments, ensuring that loads are properly secured, tarped, etc., and that the proper equipment is employed.

6. Global Satellite Monitoring and Positioning
Transporters must have a minimum of 80% of their fleet equipped with global positioning equipment. ASTL carriers average 95% global positioning equipment.

7. Emergency Response
ASTL shall review, and requires its emergency response carriers to review and maintain all records involving emergency response transporter subcontractors, including their state license, safety and performance record.

8. 24 - 7 Service
ASTL transporters are required to have full time staff on a 24/7 basis.

9. Re-power Equipment Speed
ASTL transporters have equipment available nationally for re-powering loads, usually within eight hours after a mechanical failure.

10. Safety and performance Awards
When you do good work, people notice. This is the foundation upon which ASTL has built its quality reputation, and we require no less from our transporters. Carrier must achieve and maintain a standard of excellence, which garners recognition by peers, industry groups, and government agencies. ASTL transporters have received the highest awards the industry offers. Awards honoring outstanding safety, compliance and performance. These annual awards are presented by entities such as DOT, FMCSA, state agencies and industry groups.
